Dog Haus Doggie Day Care

  • Monday-Friday 7am-7pm and Saturday-Sunday 10am-5pm.

We Offer (3) play environments:

Our Ruff House is our Big Dog day care environment. It is a 2000 square ft indoor/outdoor free-play area ventilated by 2 garage doors, a misting system, and drum fans. We offer dog cots, couches, toys and webcams.

Our Mutt House is our medium day care environment. It is a 1000 square ft covered outdoor free-play area that is temperature controlled. We offer dog cots, couches, toys and webcams.

Our indoor Pee Wee Playroom is our teacup/toy and lounge hound day care environment. It is a 500 square ft room. We offer dog cots, toys and webcams. All indoor dogs are taken outside for potty breaks regularly.
 

Why should I take my dog to day care?

Taking your dog to Doggie Day Care allows your dog to be expend excess energy, get lots of exercise and play-time with other dogs. A well-socialized dog that is tired is a happy dog and less likely to act out, develop bad behavior patterns and/or be destructive when left by themselves.

Because Doggie Day Care provides your dog with exercise and mental stimulation, it also helps to curb and or eliminate many nuisance behaviors that dogs develop because they are bored or not well socialized.

We highly recommend trying Doggie Day Care if your pet exhibits any of the following behaviors:
  
 
   
barking excessively
   
digging in the house or in the yard
   
chewing or destroying shoes, furniture, wood paneling, etc.
   
get overly excitable or are very nervous around other dogs or people
   
suffer from severe separation anxiety
   
 
 
More often than not, dogs "act out" in negative ways because they are bored and/or they have a need to expend excess energy. The Pooch Patio's Dog Haus offers your dog a safe and secure social environment in which to romp, play and burn off extra energy.


POLICIES:

The preferred age for all doggie daycare attendees is 6 months or older. For the safety of our environment and for your pet, we will not accept dogs less than 4 months of age.

All attendees MUST be spayed or neutered prior to being 6 months old.

The Pooch Patio requires proof of Annual Vaccinations (Rabies and DHLPPC) and the Bordetella/Kennel Cough Vaccination every 6 months although it is an annual vaccine.


DOG FLU VACCINE ADVISORY:
Texas is one of the 38 states that has had an outbreak of Canine Influenza (dog flu). Canine Influenza is most commonly found in kennel facilities, doggie daycares and shelters. It is only fatal in 10% of cases but can lead to pneumonia. Symptoms include coughing, sneezing and nasal discharge; sometimes accompanied by a high fever.

It is a series of (2) vaccinations, 3 weeks apart. Contact your veterinarian to schedule an appointment or for more information.

The Pooch Patio highly recommends that all day care and boarding clients receive this vaccination, but it is NOT mandatory.

**It is recommended that clients wait 24 hours prior to coming to day care or boarding after receiving new vaccinations to ensure no side effects.


All attendees must be parasite-free and verify proof monthly that they are on a flea/tick preventative.

The Pooch Patio is happy to offer boarding for existing day care clients ONLY. Because our dogs are in a free-play environment from 7am-9pm, we want to ensure that we are familiar with the dog's temperament and demeanor. We require all new boarding clients who have not boarded with us previously to have attended a full day of day care before a reservation for boarding can be booked.

DROP OFFS: M-F 7am-6pm, Sat/Sun: 10am-4pm

PICKUPS: allowed 7 days a week by 12pm included in boarding rate.
Pickups after 12pm charged a full day of day care by size of dog.

BOOKING FOR BOARDING RESERVATIONS require a valid Visa or Mastercard to be on file at the time the reservation is booked. Extended stay boarders (over 7 days) will be billed a portion of their bill every 7 days with the balance paid at pickup.

HOLIDAY BOARDING RESERVATIONS have a $50 cancellation fee PER DOG for cancellations 7 days or less from the date of arrival.

Food/Medications: We require all owners to bring a supply of your pet's regular diet in labeled bags or a sealed container. Medications must be labeled with instructions.

Personal Property: Please do NOT plan to bring any toys or beds for your pet(s). A fleece blanket is supplied for each dog and laundered daily.

Vaccinations: For your pet's protection as well as other's we require that all pets are current on ALL vaccinations prior to being boarded.
